U.S. Army recruiting offices will host virtual job fair

UNDATED – U.S. Army recruiting offices in Indiana are conducting a virtual job fair on March 17 for individuals committed to serving their country.

The Army is looking to fill positions in the fields of engineering, cyber, intelligence, communications, maintenance, medical and more. Individuals can serve either full-time or part-time in these fields.

The job fair will be held from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, March 17. Those interested can register by clicking here.

Army recruiting offices in Regions 7, 8, 10 and 11, which encompass the western, southern and southwestern parts of the state, are participating in the job fair, in partnership with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.

“Region 8 looks forward to collaborating with multiple regions in South Central and Southern Indiana, along with the Department of Workforce Development, to recruit Hoosiers interested in serving our great nation,” said Rob King, executive director of the South Central Region 8 Workforce Board Inc.

Sara Worstell, executive director of Grow Southwest Indiana Workforce, said, “Grow Southwest Indiana Workforce Board and WorkOne Southwest strongly believes in the priority of service for veterans. Turning the table and assisting the U.S. Army to promote the variety of careers available to Hoosiers who wish to serve our country is simply an honor.”

Vincent E. Michel, commander of the Evansville Recruiting Company, said the virtual job fair gives the Army a unique opportunity to reach individuals across southwest Indiana and share the numerous opportunities available to them for the first time on such a large of scale.

“This event also gives us the unique opportunity to share how folks can have a fresh start from these difficult times through potential full-time or part-time employment in the Army, learn valuable skills, and have access to a wide range of benefits,” Michel said. “This event continues to highlight how we are grateful for the support of our community partners and grateful for being able to work with them to create an event such as this one to help folks answer the question of ‘What’s Your Warrior?’”

After registering for the virtual job fair, attendees will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
