MORGAN CO. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces State Road 142 closed today, Monday, March 1 just west of Wilbur for a slide correction project to begin.
The work is expected to take three weeks, reopening the road Friday, March 19. The official detour will follow S.R. 39 to S.R. 42 and back to S.R. 142.
INDOT’s contractor GeoStabilizaion International will begin slide correction work on S.R. 142. Crews will install a soil nail wall to stabilize the embankment after deterioration occurred just outside of the roadway shoulder.
