(CARLISLE) – A graduation ceremony was held recently for the 149 graduates who completed Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC), Building Trades / National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER), Apprenticeships and College programs at Wabash Valley Correctional Facility (WVCF).
While past ceremonies included guest speakers and other participants, changes the result of the pandemic were made this year in the interest of the safety and welfare of staff and residents at the correctional facility. Oakland City University site coordinator Susan Russell said, “In spite of all the challenges this year, our students stayed focused on their goal and we were delighted to be able to celebrate and recognize their achievements.”
