(BLOOMINGTON) – Firefighters responded to a house fire in the 7000 block of West Airport Road around 9:30 a.m. Sunday in Van Buren Township.
No one was injured in the blaze and firefighters were able to save a dog and cat from the burning home.
Firefighters from Van Buren, Ellettsville, Beech Creek Township, and Monroe Fire Protection District responded to the blaze. Monroe County Sheriff’s Department and IU Health Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
