Butterfield, Chase, Hewetson Move On In Council Race

(LAWRENCE CO.) – The top three Republican votes went to Rick Butterfield, Julie Blackwell Chase, and Julie Johnson Hewetson in the Lawrence County Council race.

Julie Johnson Hewetson

Julie Hewetson received the top number of votes cast with 3,212 votes.

“I am excited and ready to go. I am concerned with the COVID-19 and how it will affect our budget for the next year. We will probably see a decrease in revenue that will in turn make us be very creative in how we deal with these shortfalls,” said Hewetson.

Rick Butterfield

Rick Butterfield received the second most votes cast at 2,724.

“I think this is so awesome, I am working on getting through in November,” said Butterfield.

Julie Blackwell Chase was not available for an interview last night. However, she garnered 2,131 votes which was the third most votes in the pick 3 race.
