(COLUMBUS) – A Seymour man was arrested for dealing drugs after an investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, Seymour Police and the federal Department of Drug Enforcement Administration agent stopped his vehicle Tuesday afternoon.
Police arrested 56-year-old Jeffrey L. Forest on an outstanding warrant for dealing meth out of Jackson County.
Officials say Forest has been the target of an ongoing joint investigation into dealing meth by the DEA.
During the traffic stop, officers found 10 grams of meth, $2,259 dollars in cash, 1.4 pounds of marijuana, digital scales, ammunition, and multiple items of drug of paraphernalia.
While being booked into the Jackson County Jail, officers found additional meth in Forrest’s possession.
Forest is facing charges of dealing meth and marijuana and possession of meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
