(UNDATED) – 40 organizations will host Indiana authors during 2020 as part of a statewide speakers bureau and writing workshop program offered through the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana Authors Awards.
Indiana Humanities, the new engine behind the Indiana Authors Awards, selected the hosts and provides support for award-winning Indiana authors to travel the state to speak to public audiences. The programs, open to public libraries, schools, churches, museums, community centers, and other nonprofit organizations, are funded through the support of Glick Philanthropies.
Seven organizations will host writing workshops led by Indiana writers. The workshops, which are open to the public, are a new feature of the Indiana Authors Awards.
“We’re thankful for this partnership and the opportunity to expand access to Indiana’s most talented authors across our state,” said Keira Amstutz, president, and CEO of Indiana Humanities. “The generous support from Glick Philanthropies allows more Hoosier readers to engage with impactful literature and thoughtful conversations.”
Dates, times and other details for the author talks and writing workshops will be announced later. Watch for more information at www.indianaauthorsawards.org/calendar.
