(BEDFORD) – Two people were arrested early Sunday morning after police found meth in their vehicle.
According to Bedford Police Chief Terry Moore, officers stopped a vehicle at O and 16th Street at 2:15 a.m. after the officer noticed the vehicle had an expired license plate.
After receiving consent to search the vehicle officer found a clear baggie that contained a crystal-like substance that tested positive for meth.

Both the driver, 36-year-old Mark Kessner, and his passenger, 28-year-old Sarah Meyers, of Bloomington, denied knowing the meth was in the vehicle.
Both were arrested on a charge of possession of meth and transported to the Lawrence County Jail.
