“Think Like an Archaeologist” Event Saturday in Bloomington

(BLOOMINGTON) – “Think Like An Archaeologist” as you explore artifacts and research records reflecting different cultures in Indiana’s past Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Monroe County History Center at 202 E. 6th Street in Bloomington.

The event is free to attend.

Four teams will each use a different collection of artifacts to discover how both prehistoric and historic Hoosiers lived. What was different? What was the same?

Archaeologists Cheryl Munson and Jocelyn Turner from Indiana University will guide the teams, and together we will unfold some of the stories of Indiana’s ancient and not so ancient past.

This event is a part of Indiana Archaeology Month. During September, organizations around the state celebrate archaeology by hosting events where individuals can learn more about the archaeology field and the past.
