(BRAZIL) – Indiana sheriffs are raffling a Ram 1500 pickup truck to raise funds for their new Youth Ranch, where they will mentor future law enforcement officers and bond with at-risk kids.
The 2019 pickup truck is sponsored in-part by John Jones Auto Group of Corydon, Greensville, Salem, and Scottsburg.
John Jones Auto Group, which has supported the truck raffle each year since its inception in 2017, is the official truck dealer of the Youth Ranch.
Raffle tickets for the truck are just $2, three for $5, seven for $10, 15 for $20, 38 for $50 and 80 tickets for $100.
“Our truck is making the circuit to fairs and festivals across the state,” said Scott Minier, interim executive director of the not-for-profit Youth Ranch. “Donors may also send checks to the Indiana Sheriffs’ Youth Ranch, 5401 S. East St., Suite 117, Indianapolis, IN 46227.”
For decades, many sheriffs and deputies have hosted local career and leadership camps for Indiana students. The Youth Ranch property, purchased in April and under-development in rural West Central Indiana, will be a permanent statewide site of such camps.
Drawing for the Ram 1500 will be at 12 noon on Dec. 13 at the Indiana Sheriffs’ Youth Ranch, 5325 N. State Road 59, Brazil, Ind. The lucky winner will be notified by telephone or email and publicized via traditional and social media.
