Vanda P. Cooper – Mitchell
Vanda P. Cooper, 77, passed away at 11 a.m. Monday at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Haverly Chapel Funeral and Cremation. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Kemmeth E. Tumey – Bedford
Kenneth E. Tumey, 73, of Bedford, passed away at 6 a.m. on Monday, February 4, 2013, at his home.
Born December 28, 1939 in Bedford, Indiana, he was the son of Walter George and
Delores (Anderson) Tumey. He was married to Nancy J. (Searle) Tumey, and she survives. He was a graduate of Bedford High School, with the Class of 1958. He retired from W.F. Meyers in Bedford, after 35 years of employment. He also served in the Indiana National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Tumey of Bedford; three daughters, Kathy Alcorn of Laurel; Donna Kinser of Bedford; and Delores “Dee” Atwood of Bedford; two sons, Kenneth G. Tumey and Dennis Tumey, both of Bedford; one brother, Michael C. Tumey of Virginia; three stepsons, Edward Tharp of Casper, WY; Ray Tharp of West Terre Haute; and Matthew Tharp of Massena, NY; 22 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, JoAnn Roberts; brother, George “Bud” Tumey; son, Michael David Tumey; and grandson, Benjamin Ray.
Funeral service will be on Thursday, February 7, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, with Pastor Ed Tharp officiating. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call on Wednesday, 4 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home.

Walter H. Case – Bedford
Walter H. Case, 58, of Bedford, passed away at 4 am on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at his home.
Born October 18, 1954 in Evansville, he was the son of Jesse and Kristina Anne (Scott) Case. He married Debra J. Terrell on April 9, 1996 and she survives. He had been employed at Baxter, Visteon, General Electric, and at Ideal Sporting Goods for many years. He loved I.U. basketball, NASCAR, camping with his family and golf carts. He had played softball for years and coached football at the Boys Club.
Survivors include his wife, Debra, of Bedford; two children, Jared Brewer of Bedford and Leah Teer and husband, Charley of Hartford City; three grandchildren, Dalton, Dylan and Brayden; two brothers, Frank Taylor and wife, Claudia of Alabama and Steve Taylor of Bedford.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Jessica Case.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm on Thursday, February 7th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, February 6th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
