Carla J. (Cooper) Howell – Shoals
Carla J. (Cooper) Howell, 70, of Shoals, passed away on January 31, 2013 at 9:30 pm at the Loogootee Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born November 12, 1942 in Loogootee to Carl A. and Vivian (McBryant) Cooper.
She married Delbert “Dick” Howell on November 21, 1963 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Loogootee and he survives.
Survivors include her husband Dick Howell, of Shoals; daughter Amy and her husband Tony, of Shoals; granddaughter Madelyn “Maddy” Gaines, of Shoals; three step-grandchildren, Bailey, Kaedon and Lauren Holt, of Lootoogtee; two brothers, Max and wife Roberta Cooper, of Loogootee, Tom and his wife Camille Cooper, of Kokomo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Charles “Slick” Cooper and two sisters, Geraldine “Gerry” Fiscus and Carolyn Blackwell.
A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2012 at 10 am at St. John’s Catholic Church in Loogootee. Burial will be in Mt. Union Cemetery.
