Beulah Irene Parish – Leipsic
Beulah Irene Parish, 93, of Leipsic, passed away at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at her home. Born June 3, 1918, in Orange County, she was the daughter of Claude and Elva (Elliott) Boyd. She married Cloran Elwood Parish May 23, 1936, and he preceded her in death April 6, 2005.
She was a beautician and a member of the Leipsic United Methodist Church. Beulah graduated from Orleans High School in 1936.
Survivors include her daughters, Victoria Rae Burke, of Mitchell, Rebecca Mae Evans, of Orleans; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; twin sister, Eulah Kirby, of French Lick
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son-in-law, Cletis Ray Evans; sisters, Fern Brewer, Opal McClain, Ethel McCoy, Lorraine Boyd, and Edna White; and brothers, Paul Boyd, Leo Boyd, and Harold Boyd.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 28, in the Memorial Chapel
of Chastain Funeral Home with Rev. Dwight Dunbar officiating. Burial will be in
Fairview Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5:00 -8:00 p.m. Thursday and from 10:00 a.m. until the service
on Friday at the funeral home.
Casketbearers: Dennis Burke, Adam Burke, Chris Evans, Michael Evans, Donnie Goldsberry, Jake Williams, Cody Dobner.

Mary Ellen Padgett- Bedford

Mary Ellen Padgett, 94, of Bedford, formerly of Williams, died Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 6:43 p.m. at Westview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Born August 19, 1917 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Harry and Della (Thompson) Voorhies. She married Louis Arnold Padgett, who preceded her in death. Mary was a homemaker.
Surviving are her son, Robert Padgett; one brother, Dr. William Earl Voorhies, of Tullahoma, TN.; one sister, Ida Voorhies, of Marion, Ill.; four granchildren; several nieces and nephews and neighbor, Marie Medley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Carolyn S. Padgett; two brother, Richard Voorhies and Tirey (Todd) Voorhies; three sisters, Ruth voorhies, Della Sue Keller Brobst, and Helen Louise Baker.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, October 28, 2011, at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home with Danny Voorhies officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Cemetery, in Silverville.

Chester W.Tincher – Springville

Chester W. Tincher, 73, of Springville, died at 3:01 p.m. Tuesday, October 25, 3011 at his home.
Born November 17, 1937, in Linton, he was the son of Leonard and Bernice (Martindale) Tincher. He married Carolyn Manetta Evans on May 23, 1957 and she preceded him in death on November 11, 2007.
He was an elementary school teacher for the North Lawrence Community School System, retiring after 29 years of service. He was a member of the Avoca Baptist Church.
Surviving include three daughters, Deanna Crane, of Springville, Cherryl Tincher, of Springville, Melinda and husband Greg Donoho, of Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Jamie and her husband Brett Pittman, of Springville, Ethan, Liam and Elena Donoho, of Indianapolis; three great grandchildren, Michael, Bailey and Devin Pittman; two brothers, larry and his wife Carolyn Tincher, of Guthrie, Marion and his wife Irma Tincher, of Avoca; step-mother, Dorval Tincher, of Bedford; two sisters-in-law, Catherine Edington, of Florida, Rosemary Blyeth, of Springville; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Carolyn; brother, Ronald Tincher, and son-in-law, Don Crane.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2011 at the Avoca Baptist Church with Pastor Kyle Witmer officiating. Burial will follow at the Avoca Baptist Church Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Avoca Baptist Church and on Saturday 2 to 3 p.m. at the church.
Donations can be made to the Avoca Baptist Church Family Life Center in memory of Chester.

Robert “Bob” Hickerson – Bedford
Robert “Bob” Hickerson, 59, of Bedford, passed away Monday, October 24, 2011, at his home.
Born March 15, 11952 in Hop Springs, AR., he was the son of Lester and Vivian (Love) Hickerson. He was a business owner and salesman in the automobile industry in Hot Springs and Bedford.
Survivors include his father, Lester Hickerson, of Hot Springs, AR.; a son, Seth Hickerson and wife, Dr. Lindsay Hickerson, of Richmond, VA.; a daughter, Sarah Hickerson, of Beford; two grandsons, Ethan Aubrey and Preston Mosqueda, both of Bedford; a brother, David Hickerson and wife, Ellen, of Chicago, IL.; a sister, Sandi Jordan and husband Joe of Hot Springs, AR.; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Vivian and former wife, Charlene.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 29th at the Day & Carter Mortuary followed by a Celebration of Life from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, October 29th in the Persimmon Room at the Comfort Inn in Bedford.
