William Levi Clemons – Indianapolis
William Levi Clemons, 92, of Indianapolis, passed away October 21, 2011. He was born February 22, 1919 in Mitchell to Harry and Lealus Clemons.
William also know as Speedy was a well known businessman and resident in Bedford. William owned and operated Speedy Auto Laundry Hand Carwash of Bedford and worked for Central Foundry where he retired in 1981. He was a member of Second Baptist Church, Bloomington Elks Club the Bedford Chamber of Commerce, The National Federation of Independent Business Inc. and the UAW Local 440.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wives Hortense and Ethel Clemons and sisters Bernice Wigginton and Cassie Swain.
He is survived by his nieces, Anna Litzy, Lauretta Robinson and Sandra Franklin; nephew Richard Swain; and several great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 29, in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Donald C. Griffin Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Beach Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, October 28th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Family and friends are invited to sign the guest book and light a candle in memory of Speedy at www.daycarter.com.
Larry W. “Bare” Randolph – Bedford
Larry W. “Bare” Randolph, 68, of Bedford, passed away at 11:29 p.m. on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at IU Health Bedford Hospital.
Born September 15, 1943, in Shoals, he was the son of James O. and Lucille (Tow) Randolph. He married Rita (Clark) Wright on November 4, 1967 and she survives. He retired from General Motors and was a member of the American Legion Gillen Post 33.
Survivors include his wife Rita, of Bedford; a son, Donny Wright and his wife Rona, of Bedford; a daughter, Robyn Williams, of Bloomington; grandchildren Danielle Wright, D.J. Wright, and Carlie Williams; two sisters Debra Ritter and husband, Jerry of Springville, Sherry Perkins and husband, Jerry of Camby; a brother Jim Randolph and wife Linda, of Bedford; several nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 27th in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Phil Thorne officiating. Burial will follow in the Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
