Loretta June Owen of Bedford passed away Wednesday morning, February 17th at Garden Villa at the age of 81.
Born in 1929 in Lawrence County to parents Earl Gilbert Evans and Martha Zelma (Mitchell) Evans, she had been married to Cecil Spears and then Ferrell Owen.
Loretta was an accountant with Sears & Roebuck after many years of service, was a graduate of Scottsburg High School in the class of 1946 and was a member of the St. John’s Episcopal Church and later St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
She is survived by one sister, Jean L. Blendowski and her husband Joseph; one niece and three nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands and one son, Terry L. Gwaltney.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 20th at 1:00PM at Ferguson – Lee Funeral Home with burial to follow in Green Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00AM until 1:00PM on Saturday, February 20th at Ferguson – Lee Funeral Home.
