William H. “Bill” Staggs of Mitchell passed away Friday eveing, February 19th at Dunn Memorial Hospital at the age of 44.
Born in 1965 in Bedford to parents Douglas A. Staggs and Janet K. (Montieth) Staggs, he had been married to Kelly L. Wolcott since 2003 and was a self-employed drywaller.
He is survived by his wife; his mother; one son, Mason Mellott; one step-daughter, Tabitha Bireley; five brothers, Roger Staggs, James Staggs and his wife Nicole, Douglas Staggs and his wife Margaret, Thomas Staggs ans his wife Michelle and Bruce Dibble; three sisters, Roseanne Suggs ans her husband Don, Mary Ann Carmichael and her husband Doug and Tammy Mundy and her fiance Tom Terrell; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; one step-son, D.J. Arbuckle; paternal grandfather, Alfert Staggs; maternal grandfather, James Montieth and a paternal grandmother, Josephine Staggs.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 24th at 11:00AM at Ferguson – Lee Funeral with burial to follow in Hillenburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 8:00PM on Tuesday, February 24th at Ferguson – Lee Funeral Home.
