(BEDFORD) – The deadline to enter the Lawrence County Fair Queen Pageant is fast approaching. The deadline is June 17, 2019.
The queen will receive a $1,000 scholarship, first runner-up $750 and the second runner up wins $500, according to Pageant Committee Chairman Nancy Duncan.
The queen will also have an opportunity to be crowned Miss Indiana at the state fair queen contest.

Queen candidates will participate in a three-minute interview the afternoon of the contest with three judges who come from northern Indiana.

The fair is also looking for queen court escorts between the ages of 6 and 8.
The young lady winning the title of Miss Congeniality receives $500, as well as a specially-designed piece of jewelry from J. Howard Jewelers.
The fair queen and her court will serve as hostesses at the fair July 13-20, 2019.
The Lawrence County Queen Pageant takes place on July 12, 2019 at Lawrence County Fairgrounds Expo Hall at 7 p.m. Cost to view the crowning is $3.
