Martin County Alliance announces October event lineup, including workshop and job fair

LOOGOOTEE — The Martin County Alliance for Economic Growth has scheduled a full slate of community and business events throughout October, featuring networking opportunities, a community revitalization workshop, and a countywide hiring event.

Business Networking Mixer

The month’s activities kick off on Monday, Oct. 5, with a business mixer from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at The Corner Cafe in Loogootee. Local business owners, community leaders, and Alliance members are invited to connect over coffee and discuss local economic initiatives.

Destination Identity Workshop

On Thursday, Oct. 8, the Alliance will host a free Destination Identity Workshop from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lark Ranch in Loogootee. Speaker Shellie Phelps will address attendees on strategies for leveraging tourism and driving community revitalization.

Complimentary lunch will be served starting at 10:45 a.m. prior to the presentation.

Countywide Job Fair

Later in the month, the Alliance is partnering with WorkOne South Central to hold a countywide job fair and career expo on Thursday, Oct. 22. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bowling Manufacturing.

The job fair aims to connect local job seekers directly with area employers. Businesses interested in reserving a booth to recruit candidates are encouraged to contact the Martin County Alliance directly.
