WASHINGTON — Food service professionals will have an opportunity to participate in ServSafe Food Protection Manager training on Thursday, October 22, 2026, through Purdue Extension – Daviess County.
The training will be held from 8:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Time at the Purdue Extension – Daviess County office, 300 E. Hefron Street, Washington, Indiana.
ServSafe is a food and beverage safety training and certificate program accredited by the National Restaurant Association and the Conference for Food Protection. The program is designed to educate food service workers about food safety.
The ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification is the highest certification awarded by ServSafe. The manager training focuses on five areas of food service that can affect the safety of food:
- Foodborne Microorganisms and Allergens
- Personal Hygiene
- Purchasing, Receiving and Storage
- Preparation, Cooking and Serving
- Facilities, Cleaning, Sanitation and Pest Management
