ORLEANS — The Orleans Chamber of Commerce is putting the final touches on plans for the upcoming 18th Annual Fall Fun Fest, set to bring a full lineup of autumn festivities to the historic town square on Saturday, October 10.
Chamber Executive Director Robert Henderson announced that the local business organization is once again hosting a wide range of family-friendly events downtown, inviting area residents and visitors to join in the seasonal celebration.
Saturday’s schedule features something for all ages, including:
- Orange County Homegrown Farmers Market
- 5K Run/Walk
- Classic Car Show
- Arts and Craft Vendors & Food Booths
- Children’s Activities & Pumpkin Decorating
- Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides & Live Entertainment
The morning of October 10 will also feature the official judging and winner announcement for the Chamber’s 2026 Scarecrow Decorating Contest.
To help usher in autumn throughout historic Orleans, Chamber officials are encouraging local business owners and residents to deck out their properties with colorful fall décor, such as pumpkins, mums, and straw bales.
Friday Night Kick-Off Block Party
The festivities officially launch the evening before, on Friday, October 9, with a special town Block Party.
Beginning at 6:00 p.m., a free Front Porch Concert featuring Kirby Staley will take place at the 1847 historic home of Larry Padgett and family, located just one block off the town square on West Washington Street. During the concert, Hometown Scoops will host an old-fashioned ice cream social.
West Washington Street will be closed to vehicular traffic between Second and Third Streets for the event.
Additionally, members of the Orleans Fire and Police Departments will be positioned along Washington Street with safety displays and emergency vehicles, offering families a chance to engage directly with local first responders.
