BEDFORD — The Republican majority of the Lawrence County Council will convene for a political strategy caucus on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. in the commissioners’ meeting room at the Lawrence County Courthouse.
Council President Rick Butterfield announced the meeting in a notice citing provisions under Indiana’s Open Door Law (I.C. 5-14-1.5-2(c)(4) and 5-14-1.5-2(h)).
According to the official notice, the purpose of the political caucus is to plan strategy and hold discussions to prepare the majority party members ahead of taking official action on upcoming county matters at future public meetings. Public notice for those subsequent official meetings will be issued as required by state statute.
