BEDFORD — A portion of South I Street will be temporarily closed to traffic on Tuesday, September 15, while maintenance crews complete essential infrastructure repairs.
According to an announcement from Lawrence County Highway Department Superintendent Brian D. Sowder, South I Street will be closed between Sandpit Road and Sunny Acres Drive from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The closure is required to allow highway department crews to replace three culverts running beneath the roadway.
While through traffic will be restricted during work hours, local access will be maintained for residents living within the immediate construction zone. Drivers who normally travel through the area are advised to seek alternate routes or plan for minor travel delays throughout the morning and early afternoon.
