Monroe County cares releases 2027 SUD Prevention Grant application

BLOOMINGTON – The Monroe County CARES Board has released its 2027 CARES grant application for local agencies working to prevent and reduce substance misuse in Monroe County.

The Monroe County CARES Board distributes grants each year to local agencies working to

reduce substance misuse through prevention, education, intervention, treatment, and justice-related efforts. Funding for the grants comes from the Monroe County Drug-Free Communities

Fund, which is supported by drug and alcohol offender fees collected in Monroe County. Monroe County CARES is the local coordinating council of the Governor’s Commission for a Drug-Free Indiana. It was established to coordinate, support, and promote local efforts to prevent and reduce harmful involvement with alcohol and other drugs.
