BEDFORD — North Lawrence Community Schools joined families and community organizations during the Hoosier Uplands Back-to-School Bash on July 23 at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds.
The annual event provided families with free backpacks, school supplies, haircuts, car seats and other resources designed to help students prepare for the start of the school year.
North Lawrence Community Schools hosted a booth where visitors received giveaways and entered drawings for a bicycle and helmet as well as a Nintendo Switch 2. Two winners were selected during the event.
District officials thanked Hoosier Uplands, participating vendors, and volunteers for helping make the event successful and for supporting local students and families.
School leaders said events like the Back-to-School Bash strengthen connections between schools and the community while ensuring students have the resources they need for a successful academic year.
