BEDFORD – One of Lawrence County’s biggest community events of the summer returns tonight as thousands of students, parents, and families are expected to gather for the Hoosier Uplands Annual Back-to-School Bash from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds.
The annual event has become a highly anticipated tradition, helping local families prepare for the upcoming school year while providing an afternoon packed with excitement, entertainment, and valuable resources—all completely FREE.
Students in Pre-K through 12th grade are invited to attend and receive free school supplies, educational materials, participate in crafts, register for door prizes, and connect with numerous community organizations dedicated to helping children succeed both inside and outside the classroom. Students must be present to receive school supplies.
Beyond the backpacks and school supplies, the Back-to-School Bash is designed to celebrate the start of a new school year while bringing families together in a fun, welcoming atmosphere. Community agencies, educators, volunteers, and local organizations will be on hand to provide helpful information and services for students and parents alike.
Adding to the excitement, WQRK will be broadcasting live from the event, keeping the energy high with great music, fun, and plenty of interaction throughout the evening.
