BLOOMINGTON — Following the conclusion of the primary season, local grassroots organization Indivisible South Central Indiana (ISCI) is shifting its focus to the general election with a series of voter outreach events aimed at boosting progressive turnout nationwide.
The group will launch its recurring biweekly “Postcard Party” series on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Monroe County Democratic Headquarters (115 E. 2nd St., Suite 3, Bloomington, IN).
The biweekly postcard sessions are designed to engage voters in key competitive battlegrounds across the nation. With control of Congress on the line in the 2026 midterms, organizers are mobilizing volunteers to reach voters in states offering the best opportunities to flip seats in the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate.
“Now that the primaries are over, it’s time to restart ISCI’s postcard parties with a focus on the general election,” organizers shared in an event announcement. “Our efforts will target states that have the best opportunities to flip the House and Senate in 2026 and put real controls on the Trump regime.”
Biweekly Schedule & What Volunteers Need to Know
The July 26 event marks the beginning of a multi-month campaign. ISCI will host postcard writing sessions every other Sunday from July through October, providing a regular, hands-on opportunity for area residents to participate in Get Out The Vote (GOTV) efforts.

- Supplies & Refreshments: Postcards, contact lists, water, and snacks are provided on-site.
- Stamp Donations: While participation is free, volunteers are encouraged to bring 10 postcard stamps or make a small donation to the group’s online stamp fund to help cover postage costs.
Organizers emphasize that all community members interested in progressive voter outreach are welcome to attend, drop in briefly, or take postcard packets to complete at home.
ISCI maintains a commitment to nonviolent civic action de-escalation standards and asks attendees to be mindful of event photography policies, ensuring explicit consent before taking identifiable photos or recordings of fellow participants.
