SOUTH DAKOTA – Secretary of State Diego Morales attended the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) Summer Conference in South Dakota, alongside approximately 25 Secretaries and Lt. Governors from across the country.
The NASS Summer Conference provides Secretaries of State and other state leaders an opportunity to exchange ideas, discuss emerging public policy issues, and share best practices. The collaboration helps strengthen partnerships among states and reinforces a shared commitment to effectively serving the American people.
During the conference, Secretary Morales participated in discussions directly tied to several of his top priorities for the Secretary of State’s Office, including strengthening election security and administration, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving service for Indiana businesses. Sessions also addressed emerging issues such as artificial intelligence, securities regulation, federal legislation, and international relations. Secretary Morales shared Indiana’s continued efforts to modernize services, safeguard elections, and ensure Hoosiers and businesses across the state receive efficient and secure services.
Secretary Morales also joined fellow Secretaries of State for a visit to Mount Rushmore, where they celebrated America’s 250th birthday and reflected on the history, principles, and ideals that have shaped our nation.
