OOLITIC — The Oolitic Church of Christ will welcome members of the community for its annual Summer Gospel Meeting, a week of Bible study, worship and gospel teaching beginning Sunday, July 19.
This year’s meeting will feature guest speaker Don Wright of Dayton, Ohio, who will present a series of lessons centered on Mark 16:15-16, where Jesus instructs His followers to “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel.”
The event will be held at the Oolitic church of Christ, 400 Lafayette Ave., Oolitic. Church leaders say everyone is welcome to attend, regardless of religious background, and encourage those interested in learning more about the Gospel to participate.
The schedule for the week includes:
- Sunday, July 19
- Bible Study: 9:45 a.m.
- Morning Worship: 10:30 a.m.
- Evening Worship: 6 p.m.
- Monday, July 20, through Friday, July 24
- Evening services begin each night at 7 p.m.
According to the church, each service will focus on biblical teaching and worship. Sunday services will also include observance of the Lord’s Supper and an opportunity for members to give, while attendees can expect prayer, congregational hymn singing, and lessons from Scripture throughout the week.
Church leaders invite anyone seeking to deepen their understanding of the Bible or explore the Christian faith to attend any or all of the services.
