St. Mary’s in Mitchell to host Summer Festival, Chicken Dinner and Craft Fair on July 25

MITCHELL St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and Rectory will host its Summer Festival, Chicken Dinner and Craft Fair on Saturday, July 25, at the Parish Life Center.

The community event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 777 S. 11th St. in Mitchell. Admission to the festival is free.

The craft fair kicks off the day’s activities at 9 a.m., followed by the signature chicken dinner, served from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Organizers are offering both dine-in and carry-out options for attendees.

A major highlight of this year’s festival is a cash raffle featuring nine separate prizes. Tickets are available for $10 each, with the official drawing scheduled for 3 p.m. at the Parish Life Center. The prize breakdown includes:

  • First prize: $400
  • Second and third prizes: $200 each
  • Fourth and fifth prizes: $100 each
  • Sixth through ninth prizes: $50 each

In addition to the cash drawings, the festival will feature a silent auction and raffle with approximately 100 items and themed baskets. Featured prizes include items and experiences from prominent regional sports teams and attractions, such as the Cincinnati Reds, St. Louis Cardinals, Louisville Bats, Indianapolis Indians, Louisville Zoo, Kentucky Derby, and the National Corvette Museum.
