WILLIAMS – Young anglers will have the opportunity to enjoy a morning of fishing, prizes and family fun during the Redneck Catfish Tournament Kids Tournament on Saturday, July 11, in Williams.
The free event will be held from 9 a.m. until noon, with registration taking place from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the upper boat ramp.
The tournament is open to children younger than 18. Organizers require that all participants be accompanied by an adult throughout the event.
In addition to a morning of fishing on the White River, organizers will award a variety of prizes to participants. Food and drinks will also be provided at no cost.
The event is designed to encourage young people to enjoy the outdoors while introducing them to the sport of fishing in a family-friendly atmosphere.
The Kids Tournament is made possible through the support of several local businesses and organizations, including Fat Kid Outdoorz Bait and Tackle, 4 Reel Fishing, White River Bait and Tackle, VFW Post 9107 in Mitchell, VFW Post 1686 in Oolitic, and American Legion Post 250.
