BLOOMINGTON — The Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market (BCFM) is gearing up for a bustling couple of weeks, offering residents a vibrant mix of seasonal regional produce, live entertainment, and direct access to local government leadership.
Between the traditional Saturday gatherings at City Hall and the expanding Tuesday evening sessions at Hopewell Commons, market-goers have plenty of opportunities to support local growers while enjoying community events.
The upcoming Saturday market features a packed lineup of entertainment and community outreach.
Live Music on the Circular Stage
The market welcomes back popular regional guitarist and vocalist Tom Harlan, better known to locals as “Guitar Tom.” Harlan, a frequent performer throughout the Bloomington and Brown County areas, is recognized for his versatile blending of Old Time, Country/Bluegrass, Blues, and classic Rock genres.

Harlan will perform two distinct live sets on the BCFM Circular Stage:
- First Set: 9:00 a.m.
- Second Set: 10:30 a.m.
Mayor’s “Team at the Table”
This Saturday also sees the return of the city’s “Team at the Table” initiative—a community outreach program that allows residents to interact face-to-face with administration officials and department heads to discuss municipal issues.

Between 10:00 a.m. and Noon, Shawn Miya, the Assistant Director of Sustainability for the Department of Economic & Sustainable Development, will be stationed at the table to greet the public, answer questions, and discuss Bloomington’s ongoing green initiatives.
