COLUMBUS — Prospective college students still looking to secure their plans for the upcoming academic year have a streamlined path to enrollment this summer. Indiana University Columbus has announced it is still accepting applications for the fall 2026 semester and will host regular walk-in hours throughout the summer to assist students and their families.

The walk-in sessions are designed to provide direct, hands-on help from admissions and financial aid staff, allowing participants to ask questions, submit applications, and navigate their next enrollment steps without needing a pre-scheduled appointment.
The university has noted that the walk-in hours are open to anyone, including recent high school graduates still deciding on their future, transfer students, adults returning to higher education, current high school students planning ahead, and already-admitted students who need help with their final preparations.
Special Summer Theme Weeks
To encourage enrollment and welcome potential students, IU Columbus is highlighting two specific thematic walk-in weeks this summer, complete with promotional giveaways:
- “Take Note” Walk-In Week (June 8–12): All participants who drop in during this week will receive a free notebook.
- “Next Step” Week (July 13–17): Attendees dropping in during this mid-summer session will receive a pair of IU Columbus socks.
Hours and Location Information
For those planning to take advantage of these sessions, walk-in participants should arrive between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. All visits begin at the Admissions Office, which is located inside Door 3 of the Campus Center Building at 4601 Central Avenue in Columbus.
Beyond the special theme weeks, IU Columbus will host these dedicated walk-in hours every Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. through August 6.
Prospective students who cannot make it during the designated walk-in times are also welcome to schedule an in-person or virtual appointment at their own convenience.
