MITCHELL — The annual Mitchell Persimmon Festival is right around the corner, bringing a highly anticipated week of live entertainment, hometown traditions, and family-friendly food to downtown Mitchell. As preparations ramp up for one of Lawrence County’s biggest annual celebrations, the Greater Mitchell Chamber of Commerce is officially inviting local businesses, organizations, and individuals to get involved as festival sponsors.
Organizers emphasize that becoming a festival sponsor is a prime opportunity for businesses to gain community visibility while actively supporting a deeply rooted local tradition.
The theme for this year’s festival is “From Generation to Generation, Our Persimmon Roots Run Deep.”
Sponsorship Tiers for Every Budget
To ensure organizations and businesses of all sizes can participate, the Greater Mitchell Chamber of Commerce has established five distinct sponsorship tiers, ranging from grassroots community support to premier festival partnerships:
- Rooted in Tradition Sponsorship ($25–$99): Provides business name placement on the official Persimmon Festival website.
- Branching Out Sponsorship ($100–$249): Includes business name placement on the festival website, along with official social media acknowledgement.
- Persimmon Grove Sponsorship ($250–$499): Features social media acknowledgement, complete with the business logo, plus live public announcements of the business name at select festival events.
- Festival Spirit Sponsorship ($500–$999): Offers a dedicated social media feature post with logo, live name announcements during festival events, and the exclusive option to sponsor a specific festival event with custom signage recognition.
- Persimmon Legacy Sponsorship ($1,000 or more): The premier level provides featured, high-visibility social media placement with a logo, multiple live public announcements at various festival events throughout the week, and the option to sponsor a premier festival event or main attraction with prominent signage.
How to Register and Secure Recognition
Chamber officials urge interested parties to submit their sponsorship forms and payments as early as possible. Timely submission ensures the Chamber’s marketing team has ample time to integrate business logos and names into upcoming print layouts, festival website directories, and social media campaigns before the festivities begin.
Sponsors can opt to enclose a physical check made payable to the Greater Mitchell Chamber of Commerce or request a digital invoice sent directly to their provided email address.
