BEDFORD — The Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County has officially opened applications for Adult Youth Development Professionals (YDPs) to support its upcoming Summer and After-School programs.
The organization is looking for passionate, community-minded individuals dedicated to fostering safe, educational, and positive environments for local youth. The positions offer a competitive wage ranging from $15 to $18 per hour, depending on experience.

To accommodate different availability, the Club is offering distinct shifts for both its summer and school-year operations:
- Summer Program Shifts: * Morning: 7:15 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
- Afternoon: 12:15 p.m.– 6:00 p.m.
- After-School Program Hours: * Monday through Friday: 2:30 p.m.– 6:00 p.m.
Shaping the Next Generation
Youth Development Professionals serve as frontline mentors, collaborating closely with fellow staff members, volunteers, and families. Selected candidates will be responsible for implementing and supervising a diverse range of fun, hands-on activities designed to keep kids engaged and learning.
Staff will lead programming across several core areas, including:
- Active Recreation: Gym Activities & Game Zone
- Creative Arts: Arts & Crafts
- Academics & Technology: Homework Help, STEM, and Computer Literacy
- Life Skills: Cooking Club
