
FRANKLIN – Bedford North Lawrence finished 12th in the Franklin Invitational at The Legends during boys high school golf action on Saturday.
The Stars posted a team score of 333 in the 19-team field. No.8 Westfield won the title with 295, followed by No.3 Carmel (296) and No.20 Franklin (302) at the top of the leaderboard.
BNL was paced by Hudson Martin with an 80, Parker Foddrill and Brody Simmons totaled 84s, and Brayden Ohl carded 85. Evan Tillett, playing in the top position in the lineup, withdrew with an illness.
”We had a pretty good round going, but fell apart a little down the stretch,” BNL coach Trey Turner said. “It’s a good experience for these guys in learning how to finish out a good round.
“We’ve had a packed schedule these last couple weeks, so it will be nice to have this week just to practice a little bit.”
BNL will compete in the Hoosier Hills Conference tournament on May 26.
