Stanley Eugene Edwards, 75, of Paoli, passed away Friday, May 15, 2026, at Paoli Health & Living Community.
Born July 4, 1950, in Mitchell, he was the son of William and Margarie (Pennington) Edwards. He married Teresa Diane Terrell on June 18, 1969, and she preceded him in death on May 28, 2008.Â
Stanley retired from Paoli Incorporated and was a member of the Mitchell Presbyterian Church, serving as a Deacon. He loved to stay busy, whether fishing, golfing, mushroom hunting, going to yard sales or just working with his hands. He loved music and playing his guitar. Stanley was a good Dad and Pawpaw.
Survivors include his children, Tamela (Scott) Cooper of Bedford, Aimee (Jason) Grant of O’Fallon, Missouri, Casey (Jason) DeRossett of Paoli, and Blaize Edwards of Norman, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Raynan Hunter, Kyla Gillespie, Taigan (Dylan) Bradford, Ellie Grant, Bailey Payne, Tanner Payne, Keaton Cooper, Evan Cooper, Giaonni Cooper, and Briella Cooper; great-grandchildren, Rowan Hunter, Arwen Hunter, Teresa Bradford, Andrew Robertson, Norah Millsap, Jackson Millsap, and Luka Grubb; and siblings, Kenneth (Marsha) Edwards of Mitchell, John (Debbie) Edwards of Bedford, Roger (Carolyn) Edwards of Mitchell, Vicky Jones of Mitchell, Rita Jones of Mitchell, Richard (Nancy) Edwards of Mitchell, Debbie Carter of Mitchell, Larry (Cheri) Edwards of Sellersburg, Mike (Mary) Edwards of Bloomington, Jim (Connie) Edwards of Bedford, Gary (Anita) Edwards of Mitchell, and Sherri Kern of Mitchell.
His parents, wife, Teresa, children, Trent Edwards, Andrew Edwards, and twins in infancy, Klay and Krey Edwards, granddaughter, Tori Bex, and sibling, Barbara Edwards, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Burial will follow at Liberty Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
