BEDFORD — The North Lawrence Water Authority (NLWA) has announced a new initiative to assist residents with private water line maintenance by compiling a directory of local service providers.

The NLWA is inviting area contractors who specialize in water line work—including leak detection, line repairs, and installations—to visit the main office to be included on this list.
Contractors interested in being featured in the directory can provide their business name and contact information in person at the NLWA office at 315 Bailey Scales Road in Bedford.
The goal of the list is to provide a convenient resource for customers who may encounter issues on their side of the water meter and are unsure who to call for professional assistance.
“We will be providing a list of contractors for our customers that they can call to do work related to water lines, such as leaks, repairs, and other services,” Greg Johnson, Office Manager, stated in a notice.
The NLWA emphasizes that while they are facilitating this connection, the list serves as a suggestion for customers rather than an endorsement.
The inclusion of a business on the list does not constitute an official affiliation with or a guarantee by the North Lawrence Water Authority.
The directory is intended solely as a helpful starting point for residents seeking independent contractors.
For more information, local businesses and residents can visit the NLWA office during regular business hours.
