Indiana’s 2026 Archaeology Month Poster Enters National Competition; Public Voting Now Open

INDIANA The Indiana Division of Historic Preservation & Archaeology (DHPA) is calling on Hoosiers to show their state pride as the 2026 Indiana Archaeology Month poster enters the national spotlight.

The poster has been officially submitted to the Society for American Archaeology’s (SAA) annual State Archaeology Celebration poster contest, a prestigious competition that showcases the best in archaeological outreach and graphic design from across the country.

How to Support Indiana

Members of the public are encouraged to participate in the selection process through an open online ballot. This is a unique opportunity to help Indiana gain national recognition for its efforts in preserving and promoting the state’s rich subterranean history.
