Arbor Day in Indiana is a day to put down roots

BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington Parks and Recreation invites you to Rogers Family Park, 2000 East Winslow Road, at 9 a.m. Friday, April 24, for a ceremony celebrating Arbor Day and Bloomington’s 42nd consecutive year of being named a Tree City USA.

Following the ceremony, Parks and Recreation Urban Forestry crews and tree-loving volunteers will plant 23 new trees in the park.

Festivities begin at the red barn at Rogers Family Park. There are benches and picnic table seating available at the barn, but no restrooms or water. Please bring a water bottle and dress for the weather.
