MONTGOMERY — Purdue Extension – Daviess County has released the 2026 tagging schedule for 4-H livestock, including steers, heifers, sheep, and goats. All animals being shown by Mini 4-H and regular club members must meet official tagging and premise ID requirements.

The tagging cost is $5.00 per tag. The schedule is as follows:
Beef Tagging (Steers and Market Heifers)
- Date: Monday, April 6, 2026
- Time: 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. ET
- Location: Dinky’s Auction Center, 9084 E 550 N, Montgomery
- Parking: Trailer and truck parking is available in the front and rear gravel lots. Parking on roadways is strictly prohibited.
Sheep and Goat Tagging
- Session 1: Thursday, May 7, 2026 (Time TBD) at the 4-H Grounds.
- Session 2: Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the 4-H Grounds. Swine are also permitted to attend this session.
Additionally, an in-person Indiana 4-H Quality Livestock Care class will be held on May 9 at 10:00 a.m. in the 4-H food court.
