BEDFORD — The Bedford Fire Pension Board has announced a public meeting scheduled for Monday, March 9, 2026. The proceedings will begin with an Executive Session at 3:00 p.m., followed by a Public Session at 3:20 p.m.
The meeting will take place at the City Concourse. According to the official public notice issued by Board President Luke Pinnick, the agenda includes several key administrative items:
- Minutes Approval: The board will review and approve the minutes from the previous meeting held on February 18, 2026.
- Candidate Certification: Members will review and certify that a firefighter candidate has met the minimum state requirements for hiring, pending final approval from the Public Employees’ Retirement Fund (PERF).
- Board Transition: New pension board members John Dixon, Justin Spires, and Shane Nolan will be officially sworn in.
- Leadership Elections: The board will take nominations for the position of Pension Secretary.
This meeting serves as a standard administrative session to ensure the continued oversight of the city’s fire department pension requirements and personnel certifications.
