WASHINGTON – Purdue Extension-Daviess County is offering a new youth project titled “American Presidents,” encouraging participants to research and learn about presidents from American history.
The project is open to youth of all ages. Mini 4-H participants are asked to exhibit an age-appropriate project about an American president. Examples include creating an educational poster, notebook or display highlighting a president’s birthplace, legacy and fun facts.

For 4-H club members in grades 3 through 12, participants must exhibit a notebook with a poster or display designed to teach others about their chosen president. Required notebook components include a title page, a fact sheet, a map outlining and labeling the president’s birthplace, a reference page and the option to include previous years’ projects in the back of the notebook with prior title pages.
Questions about the project can be directed to the Purdue Extension Office at 812-254-8668. Youth can sign up for the project by visiting v2.4honline.com and selecting the project titled “County Projects: American Presidents.”
