Comedian Fred Klett will bring the giggles to the Mitchell Opera House on Feb. 14

MITCHELL — Comedian Fred Klett will perform live at the Mitchell Opera House on Feb. 14, bringing his nationally recognized clean stand-up comedy to the historic venue.

Klett, a Wisconsin-based comedian with decades of experience, is known for his family-friendly humor, storytelling style, and relatable material drawn from everyday life. His work has earned him national and international audiences through live performances, television appearances, and online comedy specials.

A native of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, Klett began performing stand-up comedy while attending the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater, where he earned a degree in finance. He continued developing his craft during college breaks with performances at Marriott’s Great America and later pursued comedy while working in sales after graduation. His career gained momentum after winning Showtime’s “Funniest Man in Milwaukee” contest, leading to headlining opportunities at comedy clubs across the country.

Over the years, Klett has performed alongside comedians such as Jay Leno, Jerry Seinfeld, and Craig Ferguson, and has opened for musical artists including George Benson, Sheena Easton, Ricky Skaggs, and Johnny Mathis. He has also toured nationally with the rock band Kansas at the group’s request.

Klett’s career includes international performances on cruise ships and appearances in regions including the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, South America, and Antarctica. His television credits include Showtime, NBC, ABC, A&E, Comedy Channel, TBN, and Dry Bar Comedy. His comedy specials and online content have generated more than 100 million views.

Klett is also known for performing alongside his son, Gus Klett, in a father-son comedy act. Gus Klett will open the Feb. 14 show. Gus Klett has appeared on television series including “Empire” and “Chicago Fire” and incorporates clean humor into his performances.

The show is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6:15 p.m. Tickets are $35 for adults and $18 for children ages 12 and under. Tickets may be purchased online through the Mitchell Opera House website or in person at ACE in Mitchell, as well as at the ticket booth the night of the event.

The Mitchell Opera House is handicap accessible. Food and drinks are not permitted in the auditorium, and seating is first-come, first-served.
