FRENCH LICK – Companies interested in establishing or expanding partnerships with the Department of Defense are invited to participate in BuyIN, a networking and business development event focused on the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
The event will take place at the French Lick Casino and Resort, located at 8670 W. State Road 56. BuyIN is designed to connect businesses with key decision-makers and provide insight into Department of Defense contracts and military needs.
Additional events associated with BuyIN include a golf outing on Monday, April 27, at the Donald Ross Golf Course and a vendor reception Monday evening from 5 to 7 p.m.
According to the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce, BuyIN serves as a platform for businesses of all sizes to gain insight into the Department of Defense’s procurement processes and requirements. Attendees will have opportunities to engage with Department of Defense representatives, procurement officials and industry leaders, participate in workshops focused on federal contracting and compliance, showcase products and services, and network with other industry professionals.
Dan Bortner, CEO of the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce, said BuyIN is intended to foster collaboration between industry and the Department of Defense and support innovation tied to national security.
NSWC Crane is seeking companies that can assist with anticipated growth in base operations, including technology adoption, maintenance, construction, and general operational support. Mission areas include electromagnetic warfare, hypersonics, autonomous systems, and cybersecurity.
The event is open to small and large businesses interested in federal contracting, companies in technology, engineering, and manufacturing industries, and entrepreneurs and startups exploring defense-related opportunities.
Expo booth registration begins at $375 for early registration. Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged. Registration is available through the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce website.
