BEDFORD – Shawswick Elementary School will celebrate reading and creativity with its annual Parade of Books on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The event invites families, friends, and community members to experience students’ book projects displayed throughout the school in a gallery-style walkthrough.
Students from all grade levels are encouraged to participate by selecting a book, creating a project inspired by it, and sharing their story with visitors. The evening is designed to highlight students’ hard work, imagination, and love of reading in a fun and supportive environment.
Prizes will be awarded for outstanding projects, and treats will be provided for attendees. Organizers say the Parade of Books is a favorite tradition that allows students to shine while bringing families together to celebrate literacy.
