Purdue Extension offering free virtual pasture lease workshop Feb. 16 and 23

LOOGOOTEE – Purdue Extension will host a free virtual Pasture Lease Workshop next month to help landowners and livestock producers better understand pasture leasing and build stronger long-term agreements.

The workshop will cover key topics, including essential lease agreement components and common legal pitfalls, how to set fair rental rates based on pasture value, and clearly defining roles and responsibilities for both landowners and tenants. Organizers will also share best practices for communication to support productive, long-term leasing relationships.

The program will be offered twice, with sessions scheduled for Feb. 16 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and Feb. 23 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Those needing accommodations to attend should contact Kyle Weaver at 812-427-3152 or keweaver@purdue.edu by Feb. 14. A registration link and QR code are available on the workshop flyer.
