FRENCH LICK – Tech careers may feel out of reach for some southern Indiana residents, but a new free training opportunity is aiming to change that.
Code/IT Academy is now accepting applications for a 10-week CompTIA IT Tech+ course running Feb. 17 through April 24, 2026. The program is designed for beginners and does not require prior formal experience. Participants will receive online instruction through Ivy Tech Community College, along with in-person support, career coaching, and up to two attempts at the certification exam.
The evening course will meeton Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The program is open to residents across all 11 Indiana Uplands counties.
Applications are due by Feb. 2, 2026. Interested individuals can apply through the online form and learn more at Ivy Tech’s Code/IT Academy webpage.
