FRENCH LICK — The Orange County Sheriff’s Department is inviting the public to come together in prayer and reflection as the community marks one year since Deputy Zach Andry was seriously wounded in the line of duty.
A prayer vigil will be held on Friday, Jan. 3, at 3 p.m. at the Springs Valley PE Complex. The gathering is open to community members, law enforcement families, and anyone who wishes to stand in support of Deputy Andry, his loved ones, and all those affected by the incident.

While the anniversary is a solemn reminder of a tragic day, organizers say the vigil is also meant to reflect the strength, resilience, and unity shown over the past year. Community members are encouraged to attend as an act of solidarity and gratitude for the sacrifices made by first responders and their families.
Deputy Andry’s perseverance throughout his recovery continues to inspire many across Orange County and beyond. The sheriff’s department expressed deep appreciation for the prayers, encouragement, and unwavering support that have surrounded the deputy and his family since the incident.
Those attending are encouraged to join in quiet reflection and collective prayer as the community stands together in faith, remembrance, and support.
