BEDFORD — WBIW has announced Marie Watson of Bedford as the $100 Grand Prize winner of its annual Christmas Card Cash giveaway, bringing the station’s popular holiday tradition to a festive close.
Watson’s card was selected in the final drawing after weeks of strong community participation, with hundreds of listeners and viewers from across southern Indiana mailing in holiday greeting cards for a chance to win weekly cash prizes and the grand prize. All cards received throughout the contest remained eligible for the final drawing, including those previously drawn in earlier weeks.
The Christmas Card Cash giveaway rewards listeners and viewers simply for sending in a Christmas card, turning holiday cheer into real cash prizes while filling the station with festive messages from the community. The promotion has become a longtime WBIW tradition, encouraging participation from families, friends, and listeners of all ages.
