BLOOMINGTON – Families in Bloomington will have an opportunity to spread holiday cheer this week as the Bloomington Police Department partners with Pacers Sports & Entertainment and the Boys & Girls Club of Bloomington to host a free toy distribution event for local children.
The Season of Giving Toy Distribution Event is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 19, beginning at 4 p.m. in the City Hall Atrium, located at 401 N. Morton St. The event is designed to help brighten the holiday season for children and families who could use a little extra support.
Organizers say no registration is required to participate. Families can simply arrive at City Hall during the event window to receive toys, which were made possible through a generous donation from Pacers Sports & Entertainment. The event is also supported by the City of Bloomington and the Office of the Mayor.

To make attendance even easier, the city has announced that parking will be free during the event in downtown metered street spots and city parking garages throughout the weekend.
Community leaders say the toy giveaway reflects the spirit of the season and the importance of partnerships that bring local organizations together to support families during the holidays.
The event is open to the public and will run while supplies last.
